Quality Inspector – Manufacturing

Location: Welwyn Garden City

Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Our client, a well-established manufacturer based in Welwyn Garden City, is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their production team. Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out inspections on incoming, in-process, and finished products to ensure compliance with company and customer standards. You will work closely with the production and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect components and finished goods using a range of measuring tools and techniques
• Verify parts against technical drawings and specifications
• Record inspection results accurately and maintain quality documentation
• Identify, report, and help address non-conformances
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes
• Contribute to process improvement and 5S activities within the manufacturing area

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience in a quality inspection or quality control role within manufacturing or engineering
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Proficient in the use of measurement instruments (e.g. verniers, micrometers, gauges)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Organised, reliable, and proactive approach to work
