Connect2Hackney, the internal talent partners for the London Borough of Hackney, are currently looking for a passionate, resilient, and forward-thinking Educational Psychologist (EP) to join Hackney's vibrant Education department on a locum basis.

What You'll Be Doing

You will join a supportive, multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality psychological services. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Completing high-quality psychological advice for Education, Health, and Care Needs Assessments (EHCNA) within statutory time frames.
  • Providing expert consultation to schools, settings, and parents using a range of psychological frameworks.
  • Supporting school staff through training, supervision, and project work to build capacity for inclusive practice.
  • Working directly with children and young people (0-25) to promote emotional well-being and educational progress.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Professional Qualification: A Doctorate or Master's degree in Educational Psychology.
  • HCPC Registration: You must be registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Communication Skills: The ability to translate complex psychological concepts into clear, actionable advice for non-specialists.
  • Passion for Equity: A deep-seated commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable learners and those with SEND. xwzovoh
