Head Chef

We are excited to welcome a Head Chef to our small, friendly team from the beginning of December.
We are an independent neighbourhood restaurant with an established customer base and strong ties to the local community. Our seasonal menu changes regularly, and we work with exciting produce and fantastic suppliers.
You will join a small, skilled team in an open-plan kitchen, supporting a positive working relationship with front of house. The role requires approximately 48 hours per week, with an annual salary of around £50,000 (including TRONC). We are open from Wednesday evening through to Sunday lunch, with set days off, minimal admin and minimal take-home work.
Previous experience running a kitchen as a Head Chef is essential, along with a genuine passion for food and hospitality and a personable nature. You will manage a team of three and work three evening shifts per week. This is a creative opportunity for an experienced chef seeking a better work-life balance.

The Head Chef is responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen, maintaining food quality and consistency, managing the kitchen team, controlling stock and costs, and continually developing the menu.
This involves daily prep, service & ordering.

Menu design & development.
