About the role

Logistics & Expediting Specialist | High-Tech Electronics Location: Andover Salary: £12.83 ph (Increasing to £13.21 ph post-probation) Hours: Monday – Thursday (08:30 – 17:00) | Early Finish Fridays (15:30) The Mission Are you a logistics professional who thrives on the "pulse" of a production floor? We aren’t just looking for someone to move boxes; we are looking for a Logistics Backbone. Based at our specialized secondary facility in Andover, you will join a tight-knit, high-impact team of three. In this environment, you aren't just a number—you are the navigator of the supply chain. You will be responsible for the high-value components that power cutting-edge electronics, ensuring that the right part reaches the right hands at exactly the right time. The Core Responsibilities In this role, "Expediting" is the name of the game. You will take full ownership of material flow: * The Accelerator: Proactively track and move materials between departments to eliminate "stock-outs" and keep the production lines humming. * Inventory Intelligence: Manage high-value stock with precision, using MRP/ERP systems to book, locate, and issue components. * Precision Kitting: Prepare complex kits for box build and assembly teams—the "Lego sets" of the electronics world. * Tech-Forward Stock Control: Support cycle counts and annual audits using advanced tools, including X-ray counters for ultra-accurate component tracking. * Agile Logistics: Handle picking, packing, and internal deliveries with a focus on high-spec documentation and record-keeping. The Ideal Profile We are looking for a proactive "doer" who remains calm when the pace picks up. * Experience: A background in stores, warehousing, or logistics—bonus points if you’ve worked in electronics or precision manufacturing. * Systems Knowledge: You understand the "why" behind FIFO and have a natural comfort with Microsoft Office and MRP software. * Licensed: A Full UK Driving License is essential for this role to manage movements between local sites. * Team Spirit: You enjoy the camaraderie of a small team and take pride in seeing a project through to completion. Why Join Us? * Clear Career Trajectory: A structured pay rise after 6 months once you’ve mastered the ropes. * Modern Environment: Work in a clean, high-tech manufacturing site that feels more like a laboratory than a traditional warehouse. * Work-Life Balance: Reclaim your weekend with an early finish every Friday. * Visible Impact: In a small team, your efficiency is immediately felt. You are the reason our production targets are met
