Payroll Implementation Consultant
Hybrid – Birmingham
£35,000 – £43,000 (pro rata)
12 Month Fixed-term contract (Maternity Cover)
A fast-growing provider of workforce management and payroll technology solutions within the hospitality sector is seeking a Payroll Implementation Partner to join its specialist Payroll Implementation team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a key delivery role within the Professional Services function, supporting the onboarding and implementation of new payroll clients during a period of maternity cover. The role is highly hands-on, fast-paced, and detail driven, with a strong focus on data integrity and client delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage client payroll implementation timelines and onboarding requirements
* Run full and comprehensive parallel payrolls during implementation
* Migrate payroll data from legacy provider systems
* Analyse payroll data and identify discrepancies or required corrections
* Produce and review reports to ensure ongoing data accuracy and integrity
* Provide payroll system demonstrations and best practice guidance to clients
* Support clients with payroll-related queries during onboarding
* Process statutory payments and deductions in line with UK payroll legislation
* Ensure compliance with HR and payroll regulatory requirements
* Contribute to project-based initiatives supporting business growth
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
* Advanced / expert-level Microsoft Excel skills
* Experience working within a fast-paced payroll environment
* Strong ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
* Ability to work effectively under pressure
* Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
* Strong follow-through and ability to resolve outstanding issues
* Good knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements
