CNC Sliding Head Turner (Citizen / Star / Tornos) Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire Salary: From £38,000 per annum + overtime (potential earnings up to £60,000) Bonus: 10% sign-on bonus + company-wide bonus scheme Shifts: Day and night shifts available with shift premiums Sector: Precision Engineering / Aerospace / Medical / Advanced Manufacturing The Opportunity We are recruiting experienced CNC Sliding Head Turners to join a state-of-the-art precision engineering facility producing high-spec, tight tolerance components used within aerospace, medical and advanced manufacturing sectors. Key Responsibilities * Programming, setting and operating Sliding Head CNC lathes * Machine setup including tooling, fixtures, guide bushes and offsets * Editing and optimising CNC programs (G-code and/or CAM) * Producing high precision components to tight tolerances * First-off inspection and in-process quality checks * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings including GD&T * Troubleshooting machining issues and improving cycle efficiency * Maintaining quality standards within ISO regulated environments * Ensuring components meet dimensional and surface finish specifications * Working with materials including stainless steel, titanium and aluminium Candidate Requirements * Proven experience as a CNC Sliding Head Turner * Experience working with machines such as Citizen, Star, Tornos or similar * Strong understanding of precision machining principles * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * Experience working to tight tolerances * Strong attention to detail and quality standards * Ability to work independently and as part of a skilled team Why Apply? * Brand new precision engineering facility * Significant investment in technology and advanced CNC machinery * Opportunity to work on complex high-value components * Excellent earning potential through overtime * 10% sign-on bonus available * Company bonus scheme * Modern, clean working environment * Long-term career development opportunities * Fixed Day, Afternoon and night shift options available If you are an experienced CNC Sliding Head Turner looking to join a forward-thinking engineering business offering strong earning potential and career progression, we would be keen to speak with you
