About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a Young People’s Support Worker – Semi-Independent Living to join our team in Croydon and Sutton area. As a Young People’s Support Worker, you will be working within a semi-independent unit, supporting young people to develop the skills and confidence needed to live independently.
This Young People’s Support Worker role is ideal for individuals who have experience working in residential settings and are passionate about making a positive impact in young people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities (Young People’s Support Worker):
- As a Young People’s Support Worker, you will support young people with daily routines and activities
- The Young People’s Support Worker will promote independence and life skills such as cooking, budgeting, and self-care
- Build positive and trusting relationships as a Young People’s Support Worker
- Encourage education, training, and employment as part of your role as a Young People’s Support Worker
- Maintain accurate records and reports as a Young People’s Support Worker
- Ensure safeguarding policies are followed at all times in your role as a Young People’s Support Worker
Requirements for the Young People’s Support Worker role:
- Experience working with children/young people in a residential setting (essential)
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Ability xwzovoh to manage challenging behaviour
- Flexible, reliable, and committed
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
