Job Summary We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Unloader to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently unloading goods from lorries, ensuring accurate handling and storage of materials. Responsibilities * Load and unload goods from lorries using appropriate equipment, including forklifts where necessary. * Handle materials carefully, ensuring minimal damage during unloading processes. * Operate warehouse management systems to track incoming and outgoing stock accurately. * Assist with organising storage areas to optimise space utilisation and accessibility. * Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as forklifts, reporting any maintenance needs. * Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing items for dispatch or storage. * Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all handling and movement tasks. * Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of unloading schedules. Experience * Prior experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or materials handling is preferred. * Familiarity with forklift operation and warehouse management systems is advantageous. * Mechanical knowledge or experience in construction can be beneficial for understanding equipment functions. * Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. * Proven track record of working in fast-paced environments requiring attention to detail and organisation.
