Reed Further Education are currently recruiting experienced SEND Lecturers to support learners with additional needs across a number of well-established Further Education settings. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference while enjoying excellent pay and professional support.

Role Overview

Pay Rate: £35+ Per hour (Inclusive of Holiday Pay)

Hours: 08:30 – 16:30 (approx. 7 hours per day)

Working Pattern: Minimum of 4 days per week

Start Date: September (confirmed after onboarding)

Event Date: Friday 9th July (PM)

Eligibility Requirements

  • All candidates must have full right to work in the UK
  • Candidates must not hold a sponsored, Skilled Worker, or Student Worker visa

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons to learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Plan, prepare and adapt teaching materials to meet individual learning needs
  • Support learners’ academic, social, and personal development
  • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Maintain accurate records in line with college and awarding body requirements
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, SEN teams, and wider curriculum teams
  • Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment

What to Expect at the Recruitment Event

Presentation

College managers will provide an overview of the SEND Lecturer role and daily expectations.

Group Interview

You will have the opportunity to introduce yourself, discuss your experience, and demonstrate your knowledge of supporting young people and safeguarding.

Written Task

You will complete a short written exercise on the day. The task will be provided beforehand for preparation (optional).

After the Event

If you are successful, a Reed consultant will contact you within a few days.
