The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a flatbed lorry to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service. Candidates must possess valid driving credentials and have previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver. Responsibilities * Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle, including flatbed lorries, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies * Load and unload goods, ensuring securement of cargo during transit * Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimise efficiency * Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly * Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs * Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues during deliveries * Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment Skills * Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar equipment * Strong driving skills with a clean driving record and valid HGV Class 2 licence * Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws within the UK * Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as loading, unloading, and securing cargo * Good organisational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently * Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision * Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous but not essential This role is ideal for motivated individuals committed to delivering high standards of service while maintaining safety on the roads.
