Job description Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council Location: Coleraine Hours: 37 hrs per week Pay: £14.13 We are hiring on behalf of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council for a Hook/Skip Lorry Driver.

Benefits of This Role Opportunity to work within a respected local authority Weekly pay Free parking Key Responsibilities Responsible for the daily/weekly completion of specific work schedules and driving of specified Council vehicles in connection with Recycling collection services within any given area of the Borough.
Responsible for the safe, legal and efficient operation of specified vehicles to include adherence to the appropriate driving guidelines, legislation and appropriate codes of practice.
Ensure that the department complies with all statutory and legislative requirements by adhering to these requirements and working in accordance with good governance and health and safety requirements.
Ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in a timely and effective manner and that general confidentiality is maintained in all areas relating to the work of the Council.

Essential Criteria: A full, current LGV driving licence Category C or C+E which enables you to drive in the UK.
A full current Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) qualification.
AND Demonstrate, by providing personal and specific examples, a minimum of 2 years' experience to include: Driving a Category C or C+E vehicle in a commercial or public sector environment Dealing directly with members of the public, in person Previous experience of keeping simple records Previous experience instructing staff.
Please note all eligible applicants must undergo and successfully pass a driving assessment as part of the selection process.
Only those applicants who successfully pass the driving assessment will be invited to attend the next stage of the selection process. xwzovoh
Applicants must undertake a minimum of 35 hours driver CPC training during a five-year period to maintain their entitlement to drive.
