Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Kidderminster Salary: £52,149 per annum + overtime (earnings up to £60,000+)Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – Days & Nights (6am–6pm / 6pm–6am)

The ideal candidate will come from a heavy-industry manufacturing background and will have experience working as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Fitter, Mechanical Technician or Shift Engineer, maintaining large industrial plant in a safety-critical environment.

The Role:
- Carry out mechanical maintenance on plant and production equipment
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs
- Fault find and diagnose issues on hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems
- Bearing fitting and alignment
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality and reliability
- Support continuous improvement and reduction of downtime
- Work effectively as part of a shift-based maintenance team
This is a varied and practical role that will allow you to use and develop a wide range of skills, including fitting, fabrication, welding and servicing.
About You:
- Mechanically biased maintenance engineer
- A Level 3 qualification in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
- Experience within manufacturing / heavy industry environments
- Diagnostics experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and drive systems
- Arc & MIG welding and basic fabrication
- Knowledge of cutting and grinding regulations
- Bearing fitting and alignment experience
