HGV Class 1 Night Trunk Driver – Pucklechurch, Bristol

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Pucklechurch, Bristol

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Shifts: Nights - Monday to Friday: Start times between 20:00 - 08:00

Rates of Pay:£17.50 per hour (basic)

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  •  Depot-to-depot trunking routes and trailer swaps
  •  Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  •  Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly
  •  Adhering to traffic laws, company procedures, and delivery schedules

Essential Skills

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

  •  Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence
  •  Minimum of 2 years' Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
  •  No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
  •  Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
  •  Good spoken and written English

Desirable Experience

  •  Previous commercial driving experience

Training Provided

  •  Driver assessment required prior to start
  •  Industry-related training and ongoing support
