Glasgow (Hybrid - 2 days per week in office)
Basic salary circa £80k
A well-established organisation is looking to bring in an AI Engineer to help scale its intelligent automation capability. This AI Engineer role is centred around building AI-led solutions that streamline processes, improve decision-making, and enhance the overall user experience.
Working as part of a wider technology function, the AI Engineer will design, build, and run automation solutions that combine generative AI, workflow tools, and system integrations. You'll be involved across the full lifecycle - from shaping ideas and selecting the right approach, through to delivery, monitoring, and ongoing improvement.
The role suits an AI Engineer who enjoys hands-on engineering but also wants to influence standards, approaches, and the wider direction of AI adoption within a business.
AI Engineer - Key Requirements:
Proven experience building AI or automation solutions in a commercial setting
Strong knowledge of Microsoft AI and automation tooling (Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure OpenAI)
Experience designing workflows that combine AI with traditional automation approaches
Understanding of APIs, authentication, and enterprise system integration
Experience working with data securely and applying governance principles
Ability to design solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and observable
Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams
