Our client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Children's Senior Social Worker to join their Families First Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

• Hold and manage a complex caseload within the Families First / Early Help pathway
• Undertake high-quality children and family assessments and interventions
• Provide support, guidance, and informal mentoring to Social Workers
• Lead on child-in-need and edge-of-care cases to prevent escalation
• Work intensively with families to build resilience and reduce risk
• Coordinate and contribute to multi-agency planning and reviews
• Support effective step-down from statutory services where appropriate
• Model strengths-based, whole-family, and relationship-based practice
• Maintain accurate, timely case records and statutory documentation
• Ensure children’s voices and lived experiences are central to all interventions

Requirements of this role:

• Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
• Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
