Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (SEND Experience)

Location: Hornchurch

School Type: Primary School

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: Long-term (potential to go permanent)

Salary: From £110 per day

Qualifications they need to have:

• Minimum Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (desirable)
• Team Teach or other behaviour management training (desirable)
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Experience they must have:

• Experience working within a primary school setting
• Experience supporting children with SEND, including ASD/ASC, SEMH, ADHD or speech and language needs
• Experience working with pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
• Strong behaviour management and ability to support emotional regulation

Role expectations:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs
• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
• Implement EHCP targets and support individual learning plans
• Support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs
• Assist with phonics, numeracy and early learning interventions
• Build positive relationships with pupils to support engagement and progress
• Support with personal care where required
