About the role
CNC Turner - Setter/Operator (Aerospace Components) -Location: Kings Norton, Birmingham. Shift: Days - Opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner to join this rapidly expanding sub contract precision engineering company that produces complex aerospace components. You should be open to future training and development as the company expands.

Key responsibilities:
Set, operate and prove-out CNC turning jobs on a Colchester CNC lathe with Fanuc controls
Edit programs at the machine (Fanuc), set tooling, offsets, workholding and cutting parameters
Produce complex aerospace parts to tight tolerances, working from engineering drawings and specifications (GD&T)
Inspect components using micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, DTI; CMM exposure beneficial
Maintain quality documentation and follow inspection procedures (AS9100/ISO 9001 beneficial)
Troubleshoot machining issues (tool wear, chatter, finish, dimensional variation) to minimise scrap/downtime
Work to H&S requirements and high housekeeping standards
What we're looking for:
Proven CNC turning experience as a Setter/Operator (aerospace/precision engineering preferred)
Confident with Fanuc controls (editing, offsets, tool comp, basic fault finding)
Experience machining titanium, Inconel, stainless steel or aluminium
Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 2/3, apprenticeship or equivalent) preferred
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and teamwork
