Rullion is offering an exciting opportunity for a qualified mechanical fitter to become part of an established rolling stock company based out of Oxley, Wolverhampton. You will play a pivotal role as part of the maintenance team dedicated to a High-Speed locomotive fleet
This role falls inside of IR35 and therefore payment options are either PAYE or Umbrella:
Contract: 6 month rolling
Hourly rate: £31.88 - £38.18 (Umbrella) /£24.96 - £28.34 (PAYE).
Shift work, early and late turns. These rotate over a 9 week schedule
Early - 06.00 to 14.00
Early - 06.00 to 18.00
Late - 12.30 to 20.00
Late - 19.30 to 06.00
Principal Accountability's
To undertake service and repair of the depot rolling stock and associated equipment in support of the operation of the depot.
Servicing, maintaining and repair of the overhaul fleet locomotives, coaching stock, and equipment.
Ensuring that the fleet is serviced and maintained in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
Seeking to improve quality.
Operate as a member of a work team, as the role of that work team requires.
Maintain good housekeeping within the working area.
Undertake any other duties as and when required within the scope of the modification work.
Knowledge & Experience
Proven experience working in a Mechanical or Electrical engineering environment
Mechanical or Electrical qualification at NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Capable of working independently and using own initiative when required
Sound judgement with confident decision-making skills
Ability to accurately complete all documentation, records, and operational reports in line with procedures
