About the role
I’m currently working with a leading international law firm looking to appoint a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Professional & Commercial Risk team in Leeds.

The Role
As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in the continued growth and success of the team, working closely with colleagues across the UK and internationally.
You will act for major insurers and insured professionals across a broad range of sectors, handling the full spectrum of professional indemnity matters—from policy coverage and advisory work through to complex, litigated negligence claims.
This is a varied and client‑facing role, offering the opportunity to take ownership of your own caseload while also supporting partners on more complex matters.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a mixed caseload of professional negligence claims involving a wide range of professionals
- Handling both pre‑action and litigated matters
- Providing strategic, commercial and technical advice to insurer clients
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through regular interaction
- Supporting partners on high‑value and complex claims
- Supervising and mentoring junior fee earners
- Instructing and working closely with experts and counsel
- Advising on and engaging in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation
Qualifications
To be considered for this opportunity, you will:
- Be a qualified solicitor with circa 5+ years’ PQE in Professional Indemnity or related insurance litigation work
- Have strong technical expertise and experience managing complex claims
