Location: UK - Hatfield, UK - London, UK - Reading, UK - Manchester, UK - Edinburgh | Job-ID: 218947 | Contract type: Standard | Business Unit: Business Operations & AdministrationExport Management SpecialistLocation: Hatfield ideally but open to other UK offices but must be willing to travelContract type: Permanent Salary: Competitive Life on the teamWe’re looking for an Export Specialist to join our Export Management Team, to support us in ensuring a smooth and compliant international trade across five countries.Based in our Hatfield office (ideally), you’ll work as part of our export and import team, ensuring operational efficiency and legal compliance across all international trading. You’ll have the opportunity to continuously improve processes, enhance reporting, and directly contribute to high impact business outcomes.You’ll be working closely with key stakeholders across our business from sales leaders to our trade compliance officers and the opportunity to represent our Group Export Manager when required. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is looking for a long-term career with endless opportunities to take ownership and develop new ways of working to aid efficiency and compliance within a global environment.What you’ll doThis opportunity provides a hands-on experience, with investment in training and development opportunities to support you in developing your long-term career within global trade and IT logistics.You’ll also be:Conducting analysis of Bills of Materials for large scale AI deployments to determine compliance requirements for exports, including Export LicencesRe-export Licence Exceptions for US origin productsCommunicating daily and leading meetings with key stakeholders at all levelsManaging queries relating to exports, imports and trade complianceResponsible for creation and analysis of regular and ad-hoc reportingIdentifying potential opportunities for process improvement and reducing any potential compliance risksManagement of system ownership for our export toolReviewing and implementing new compliance requirements enforced by trade compliance and customs officersWorking closely with our Group Export Manager and covering key tasks where appropriateProducing workflows and documentation for new process improvements.What you’ll need3-5 Years Experience working in an Export and Compliance Department ideally with a degree in Logistics and dealing with Export Compliance TopicsExpert knowledge of UK, EU and US regulations related to: Product Classification – Commodity CodesExport Control Numbers for UK, EU and USYou’ll need to have a strong interest in global trade, compliance and IT logisticsYou’ll need to be a driven and self-motivated individual with excellent attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.You’ll need to enjoy working as part of a team and be able to build strong professional relationships at all levels.You’ll need to have great attention for detail, strong analytical skills and an interest in global trade and business complianceA proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learnAbout usWe are a leading independent technology and services provider, trusted by large corporate and public sector organisations.
