Freelance Project Manager – Abingdon Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire Rate: Competitive Day Rate Contract: Freelance We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee a major civil engineering and infrastructure package on a high-profile development in Abingdon. This is a long-term freelance opportunity with a reputable contractor, offering the chance to take full responsibility for the successful delivery of a significant programme of works. Responsibilities * Managing the project from site commencement through to completion. * Leading site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners. * Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget. * Monitoring progress and driving productivity across all work fronts. * Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance. * Coordinating with clients, consultants and key stakeholders. * Managing project reporting, planning and risk mitigation. * Chairing progress meetings and ensuring key milestones are achieved. Requirements * Demonstrable experience as a Project Manager on large-scale civil engineering, infrastructure or enabling works projects. * Strong leadership and communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and workstreams simultaneously. * Proven track record of delivering projects safely and efficiently. * SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certification. * NEC contract experience beneficial.
