About the role
Aspire people is seeking a KS3-4 Science Teacher for a well-established and highly-regarded special education school in NG11.
The ideal candidate will be flexible and experienced across multiple Key Stages as well as have a knowledge of trauma informed approach, good understanding of ASD and show strong resilience. Though you will be teaching small size classes in KS3-4, some of the students are performing on a much lower level. There are also two teaching assistants in the class to help you teach 11-14 yo. pupils.
Position Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a Science Teacher.
This long term position (starting September 2026) is an exciting opportunity to be part of our vibrant school community and make a positive impact on the development and education of our young learners.
Pay: 190£/day to start with or 40K/year when you move from agency to school employee
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality intervention teaching and support SEN students.
* Planning and marking is required
* Follow the school's curriculum and guidelines to ensure academic progress.
* Deliver engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to various learning styles.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support students' academic and personal growth.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching in various Key Stages (Due to varied classes).
* Strong communication and classroom management skills.
* Commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and methods.
Duration: Long term with September start.
