Project Manager – New Build Education Project PAYE day rate, possible temp to perm option Working with main Contractor Project Completion: 2028 Sphere Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a major £29m education development in Port Talbot. This flagship primary school project will deliver a state-of-the-art, net-zero operational facility including teaching accommodation for 420 pupils, nursery provision, ALN facilities and a Welsh-language immersion unit. The scheme is targeting BREEAM Outstanding and will be one of the region’s most sustainable educational developments. We are looking for a driven Project Manager with proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects from pre-construction through to handover. Key Responsibilities * Oversee day-to-day delivery of the project through all construction phases * Manage programme, subcontractors, quality, commercial awareness and H&S compliance * Coordinate site teams, client meetings and stakeholder communication * Ensure works are delivered safely, on time and within budget * Drive programme performance and maintain high-quality standards throughout * Work closely with design, commercial and operational teams Requirements * Proven experience as a Project Manager on major construction projects * Background in education, commercial, healthcare or public sector schemes preferred * Strong leadership and communication skills * SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid essential * Ability to manage multiple subcontract packages and site teams * Experience working with Tier 1 or leading regional contractors advantageous What’s on Offer * Long-term flagship project * Opportunity to work on a high-profile sustainable development * Excellent career progression within a leading contractor environment * High possibility for temp to perm placement For a confidential discussion or to apply, contact Sphere Solutions today
