Metal Worker Location: Gateshead Salary: £13.25 - £14.50 per hour (Depending on Experience) Overtime available x 1.5 Hours: Monday 07.30 – 16.00, Tuesday to Thursday 07.45 – 16.00 and Friday 07.45 – 15.00. Permanent staff position About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Metal Worker to join a reputable manufacturing company in Gateshead. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components to precise specifications. Key Responsibilities: * Operate a range of metalworking machinery, including press brakes, guillotines, and rollers. * Carry out some spot welding as required. * Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. * Measure, cut, and prepare materials accurately. * Assemble metal parts and structures to exact tolerances. * Ensure all work complies with company safety and quality standards. Requirements: * Proven experience as a Metal Worker or Fabricator. * Hands-on experience operating press brakes, guillotines, rollers, and other fabrication equipment. * Competence in spot welding and general welding/fabrication techniques. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. * Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
