Service Engineer

Location: Based in Sudbury. Please note it will be covering nationwide.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Service Engineer on behalf of a well-established and respected national company specialising in the manufacture, supply, and servicing of mobility products. Our client is passionate about improving customers’ independence and quality of life, delivering high-quality products alongside excellent customer service, and offering a supportive and friendly working environment.

Main Purpose of the Role

To provide a professional and reliable field-based service, carrying out repairs, maintenance, and deliveries of mobility equipment at customer locations, ensuring high standards of workmanship and customer care at all times.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Service, diagnose, and repair mobility scooters and associated equipment
• Carry out routine maintenance and safety checks
• Deliver and install products for customers
• Provide a professional, friendly, and customer-focused service
• Maintain accurate records of all work carried out

Additional Responsibilities

• Travel to various customer locations as required
• Manage workload effectively and work independently
• Ensure company equipment and vehicles are maintained appropriately

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

• Practical, hands-on skills (mechanical or electrical experience advantageous)
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Full UK driving licence (essential)

Working Pattern & Benefits

• Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (early starts with earlier finishes, often early afternoon; hours may vary depending on schedules)
