About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant in Blackburn to join a welcoming and supportive mainstream primary school. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for a Teaching Assistant who is looking for long-term stability and progression within primary education.

You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. This Teaching Assistant role is suitable for candidates with experience in EYFS, KS1, or KS2.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
  • Providing small-group or 1:1 support where required
  • Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and independence
  • Assisting with behaviour management and classroom routines
  • Supporting pupils with varying learning needs

Requirements

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and child development
  • Relevant qualifications or school-based experience (preferred)
