Quality Manager

Title: Quality Manager Location: Chester Salary: Up to £50,000 (DOE) Industry: FMCG Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Shift: Monday – Friday Hours: 40 Hours Per Week Benefits + Package: * Salary: £50,000 * 25 days holiday + bank holidays * Company pension (4% employer / 5% employee) * Life assurance (1x salary) * Enhanced maternity & paternity * Healthcare & Dental Benefits * Free onsite parking * Genuine opportunity for progression * High level of autonomy and influence across site * Opportunity to lead quality standards within a fast-paced manufacturing environment Key Quality Manager Responsibilities: * Lead Food Safety, Quality and GMP standards across site * Ensure compliance with BRC, customer and legal requirements * Act as key contact for audits, customer queries and escalations * Drive investigations into non-conformance (micro, analytical, complaints) * Own HACCP, validation and verification processes * Embed a strong Food Safety & Quality culture on site * Work closely with operations on hygiene, CIP and process controls * Support NPD and site change management * Drive root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions * Oversee product hold/release and traceability Quality Manager Requirements: Essential: * 3+ years’ experience in food manufacturing within a Quality/Technical role * Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety standards * Experience leading internal and external audits (BRC/customer) * Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills * Degree in Food Science, Microbiology or similar – microbiology (masters) * Experience in high-care or complex manufacturing environments * Coaching or mentoring experience
