HGV2 / CLASS 2 - Pallet Network Multi-Drop Driver - GREAT YARMOUTH

Starlings Transport & Storage Ltd. We operate in national multi-depot pallet distribution networks.

We are looking for a HGV2 Multidrop driver to join our team at our Great Yarmouth depot.

The position: Monday - Friday. Start time is 07.00, drivers work together to unload the trunks and reload the local delivery vehicles using fork lift trucks. The freight is then delivered throughout the NR postcode to a mixture of delivery points. Delivery is achieved by either forklift unload or tail lift unload depending on the destination. Vehicles have both manual & electric pallet trucks. Deliveries are then followed by the collection of freight from customers for return to the depot.

Once back at the depot, the freight is labelled and loaded on the night trunk vehicles for shipment to the hubs. Normal finish time is around 18:00, although sometimes earlier and sometimes later.

We operate on Saturday mornings and there is a rota in place, currently it requires drivers to be at work around one in 11.

£13.25 / hour flat rate Monday to Friday (C / Class 2)

Shifts are paid through with no deductions for breaks.

£5 / day midday meal allowance paid Monday - Friday, tax free.

£18.00 / hour Saturday

Pay interval is fortnightly.

Holiday: 28 days p.a. (inclusive of Bank Holidays) paid on average weekly earnings. Some holiday is fixed over the Christmas break and there is a holiday ban over the two 4-day weeks of Easter.
