About the role
Job Title: Administrator / Receptionist
Location: Diabetes and Endocrine Centre, Ipswich Hospital, IP4 5TP
Trust: East Suffolk & North Essex NHS Foundation Trust
Payrate: Band 2, £12.92 per hour
Shift Patterns: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm OR 9:00am - 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week)
Duration: Start: ASAP End date: 8 Weeks from start date
Experience Required:
* Previous Reception/office based administrative work
* Good verbal and written communication skills – an excellent telephone manner is needed
* Previous experience of working with confidential patient information
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ideally experience working with NHS systems i.e. Epic, SystmOne, Evolve - CAN BE TRAINED ON THIS BUT BETTER IF THEY HAVE IT
* Ability to multi-task – very fast paced environment.
Job Description:
Key responsibilities include:
* Greeting patients and marking them as arrived for their face-to-face outpatient appointment
* Answering, screening, and forwarding telephone calls
* Booking outpatient appointments (filing empty slots & Bookings 6 weeks ahead)
* Checking out previous day’s appointments from the DAR
* Uploading Advice & Guidance
* Post
* Ad hoc admin duties i.e. scanning etc.
Skills/experience:
