Manufacturing Engineer (ME) – Composites Poole / Dorset Salary from £35,500 (DOE) Permanent | Full-Time ⚠ Please Read Before Applying This is not a CNC machinist or operator role. We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who can bridge engineering, production and the customer, with experience in: * Design for manufacture (DFM) * Production engineering * Working with CAD data, BOMs and manufacturing processes Candidates whose experience is limited to machine operation or programming only are unlikely to be suitable. The Opportunity Broadreach Recruitment is supporting a specialist composites manufacturing business in the appointment of a Manufacturing Engineer (ME). This role sits at the centre of engineering delivery — ensuring that products are: * Manufacturable * Efficient * Delivered to the required quality You’ll be involved from quotation through to production, translating design intent into practical manufacturing solutions. What You’ll Be Doing Providing technical input during quotation and early-stage projects Developing solutions for: CNC machined components Composite kits and structures Tooling and patterns Applying design for manufacture (DFM) principles Creating and maintaining: Bills of Materials (BOMs) Routings within MRP/ERP systems Producing clear work instructions for production teams Supporting production with: Technical queries Quality issues Process improvements Collaborating with CNC programmers and manufacturing teams Maintaining CAD models and technical documentation What We’re Looking For Essential * Experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role * Strong understanding of DFM and manufacturing processes * Experience working with 2D / 3D CAD data * Ability to work across engineering, production and customer teams * Strong problem-solving and attention to detail Desirable * Experience in composites or advanced manufacturing * Exposure to CNC machining environments * Experience with MRP / ERP systems * Engineering qualification About You * Practical, hands-on engineer * Comfortable working between office and shop floor * Structured and methodical * Strong communicator across teams * Able to take ownership and deliver outcomes Why Apply? * Work across the full lifecycle — quotation to production * Exposure to advanced composite manufacturing * Opportunity to influence how products are engineered and built * Join a growing, specialist engineering business Apply Now If you’re a Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys turning designs into real, buildable products, apply today or contact Broadreach Recruitment for a confidential discussion
