As part of our continued growth in the UK, we are currently supporting the delivery of a major building and regeneration project in North London . This scheme reflects the scale and complexity of projects we deliver globally and represents a significant milestone in our UK expansion.
While the organisation name is not disclosed at this stage of the recruitment process, it is a global construction and infrastructure group with a strong presence across Europe and international markets , recognised for delivering large-scale, technically complex developments across infrastructure, sports, halls, stadiums, residences, commercial, and specialist sectors.

We are now seeking an experienced ConstructionProcurement Manager to join the team on this high-profile scheme. This is a large-scale, technically complex development currently in its delivery phase, offering a genuine opportunity to play a central role in shaping and driving design outcomes.
This is a significant project, providing the opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of a landmark development within a dynamic and internationally experienced organisation.
This position is offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 24 months.
The Role
Reporting to the Deputy Project Director, you will lead and manage procurement activities across the project, ensuring cost efficiency, programme alignment, and the timely delivery of materials and services.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that procurement operations support the successful delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement project-specific procurement strategies aligned with programme, budget, and operational objectives
Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, tendering, bid evaluation, negotiation, and contract award
Manage and support procurement teams, including buyers, expeditors, and logistics functions
Establish and maintain an approved supplier list, including robust prequalification and performance monitoring
Coordinate procurement schedules to ensure timely delivery in line with construction programmes
Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors, defining scope, pricing, and contractual terms
Monitor procurement performance, identifying risks, delays, and opportunities for cost savings
Collaborate with project, design, and construction teams to ensure alignment between procurement and delivery
Oversee logistics and supply chain operations, ensuring efficient material flow and inventory management
Prepare and present procurement reports, including progress, supplier performance, and risk assessments
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company procedures, and relevant UK regulations
About You
Experience
1015+ years experience in procurement within construction or engineering projects.
Proven experience managing procurement teams and complex supply chains.
Strong background in subcontractor procurement, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
Experience working on large-scale or complex construction projects.
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Skills & Knowledge
Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement methodologies
Experience in tendering, bid evaluation, and contract management
Understanding of construction materials, engineering requirements, and logistics
Financial and cost management capability
Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. MS Dynamics or equivalent) and advanced Excel capability
Working Environment
The role requires regular on-site presence to support coordination with project teams and suppliers, alongside a degree of flexible working
