Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie / Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary expertise within a professional kitchen environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising junior staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of kitchen activities. A strong background in food production, team management, and food safety is essential. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable. This position provides valuable hands-on experience and the chance to grow within a reputable establishment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications and standards
Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support during service
Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations
Assist in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory management
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service delivery
Monitor kitchen operations to optimise efficiency and minimise waste
Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely
Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Experience
Proven experience in a similar role within a professional kitchen or restaurant setting
Supervising experience is highly advantageous
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Knowledge xwzovoh of food production processes and culinary techniques
Experience working in hospitality or serving environments is beneficial
Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to commercial kitchens
