About the role
Residential Care Practitioner – Children’s Residential Homes (Derby)
We are currently recruiting for 7 Residential Care Practitioners to join our children’s residential homes in Derby, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs in a safe and supportive environment.
Salary & Benefits
* Salary: From £37,275.89 (increase after successful 6-month probation)

Role Overview
You will provide day-to-day care and support to young people, helping to create a stable, positive environment that promotes their development and wellbeing.
Key Requirements
* Must hold one of the following:
* Level 4 Children, Young People & Families Practitioner
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
* Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care
* Minimum 1 year experience working with children (not early years)
* Experience in residential care or youth work (EBD experience advantageous)
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
Working Pattern
* Approx. 56.5 hours per week (including sleep-ins)
* Shift pattern:
* 08:00–23:00 + sleep
* Morning handover the following day (08:00–08:30)
* 3-week rolling rota
* Approx. 10 shifts per month
* Includes training and team meetings (approx. 244.5 hours/month total)
