Site Manager – Major Industrial Refurbishment & Mezzanine Installation Location: Knowsley Contract Type: Freelance Duration: 26 weeks Project Value: £8m Start: Monday 11th May Profile We are seeking an experienced no2 Site Manager to support the delivery of a major refurbishment and mezzanine floor installation within a large industrial warehouse in Knowsley. This is a high‑profile, fast‑paced project requiring a strong person who can maintain exceptional standards across safety, quality, programme, and subcontractor performance. Key Responsibilities * Oversee day‑to‑day site operations across internal refurbishment and mezzanine installation * Maintain firm but fair control of subcontractors, ensuring productivity, compliance, and quality * Drive a first‑class health and safety culture, ensuring all procedures and site documentation are fully up to date * Manage daily and weekly reporting, RAMS reviews, permits, and programme updates * Ensure deadlines are met and works progress in line with project milestones * Liaise with the Project Manager, client team, and wider delivery partners * Support coordination of logistics, sequencing, and site planning Essential Requirements * Managers CSCS card * SMSTS * 3‑day First Aid * Strong computer literacy (reporting, email, document control, digital H&S systems) * Proven experience managing Construction jobs * Demonstrable ability to lead teams with authority, clarity, and professionalism * Flexible approach to working hours – 12 days on / 2 days off rota What We’re Looking For * A confident, organised, and proactive site leader * Someone who can maintain high standards under pressure * A manager who communicates clearly and builds strong working relationships * A professional who takes pride in delivering safe, high‑quality work Opportunity This is a fantastic long‑term local opportunity with a respected contractor, offering stability and the chance to play a key role in a major industrial scheme
