Salary: MPS/UPS inner London £40,389 - £62,560 per annum + TLR1
Contract: Full-time, permanent

Aston Education is working with an Ofsted Good 11-18 secondary academy in Lewisham, Southeast London (inner London).
The school is looking for apermanent full-time Head of Sciencewith QTS / QTLSwho has the ability to motivate and inspire others and teach across the age and ability range from KS3 to KS5.

Responsibilities include:
The Head of Science plays a pivotal role in leading the science department to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and achievement. This role involves strategic team leadership, high standards of teaching and learning, and the development of a strong science curriculum.
As a Head of Science, you will have the opportunity to work in great facilities, teach a diverse student body, and collaborate with other departments to instil a love of science into the students.
The Science department is made up of a team of enthusiastic and dedicated teachers who are committed to providing high-quality education and inspiring students to pursue science throughout their school career and beyond.
The school is part of a respected medium size multi academy trust, and their reputation is built on a tradition of high standards and academic excellence. They support every single student and staff member in reaching their full potential.
You have:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS)
- Degree in Scienceor another relevant subject
- Successful experience teaching Science to KS3-KS5
- Proven track record of improving the quality of teaching and learning
- Experience coaching and mentoring colleagues
- Experience in a Key Stage Lead or Second in Charge of Science role would be beneficial
