Manchester
£54,700 basic + annual bonus (circa £3,000)
Monday–Thursday | 6pm–6am (4-day working week)
Overtime paid at enhanced rates

The Role as an HGV Technician / Mechanic / Engineer
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a well-established and respected fleet maintenance company. You’ll be working on specialist assets within a professional workshop environment, with full support and training provided to help you develop your skills further.

Carrying out routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on HGVs for both internal and external customers
Preparing vehicles for MOT, including inspection, rectification, and final presentation
Attending breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and completing repairs to a high standard
Completing all compliance documentation in line with DVSA and company standards
Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and workmanship at all times 
What we’re looking for in the HGV Technician / Mechanic / Engineer  

Proven xwzovoh experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Engineer
NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent HGV qualification
Experience with repairs and wheel alignment
Municipal or RCV/refuse vehicle experience is advantageous but not essential
Strong understanding of the HGV industry and safety practices
A team player who can also work confidently on their own initiative
