This role is perfect for a motivated individual at the start of their teaching career who is eager to inspire young people and develop their teaching practice within a nurturing and collaborative environment.
You will join a dedicated Art department committed to encouraging creativity, self-expression, and artistic excellence across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5).
Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging and imaginative Art & Design lessons Inspire students to develop their creativity, confidence, and technical skills Assess and monitor student progress in line with school policies Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment Take part in the school's structured ECT induction programme Contribute to enrichment opportunities such as art clubs, trips, and exhibitions The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to achieve it A degree in Art, Design, or a related subject A strong passion for art education and student engagement Good classroom management skills and a positive, proactive attitude A commitment to continuous professional development What We Offer: A comprehensive and supportive ECT induction programme with experienced mentors xwzovoh A friendly and collaborative Art department Access to high-quality CPD and career development opportunities Well-equipped art facilities and resources A positive school culture that prioritises staff wellbeing and student success How to Apply If you are an enthusiastic ECT ready to begin your teaching career in a supportive school near Braintree, we would love to hear from you.
