Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Multi-Skilled (Electrical bias) Maintenance Engineer Initial 3-month contract Rate £35.00 - £37.50 p/h   Days / Nights Manchester Wigan St Helens Warrington Liverpool Warehouse Automation / FMCG / Conveyor Systems / Electrical / Mechanical I am currently recruiting on behalf of a global leader in warehouse automation and logistics solutions. They are seeking an experienced Multi-skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support the ongoing operation of a highly automated distribution facility in Greater Manchester. For this position, you will be required to carry out the following duties: Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a fully integrated automation system Diagnose and repair faults on automated stacker cranes and pallet crane systems Maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems, sortation equipment and automated pallet handling systems Support trailer loading and unloading automation processes Work safely at height, including maintenance on cranes and high-bay racking systems Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise operational disruption in a high-throughput environment The successful contractor will have the following attributes: Level 3 Electrical Qualification (essential) Electrically biased, ideally multi-skilled Proven experience in FMCG environments Working at Height and Rescue from Height certification (essential) First Aid at Height (desirable) Comfortable working 12-hour days and nights on a rotating shift pattern Ability to work independently on shift when required Experience with bespoke warehouse control software advantageous The benefits of this position: Opportunity to work on a large-scale, high-profile automation site for a global FMCG brand Rolling contract with ad hoc holiday cover opportunities 12-hour shifts on a rotating pattern (2 days/2 nights/5 off or similar) including weekends ATA is committed to creating a diverse workforce and is an equal opportunities employer.
