VNI Finance is delighted to be working in partnership with our key client in Glasgow to recruit a newly created Financial Accountant on a 12-14 month fixed-term basis.

Our well-established, UK-wide multi-entity business is looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to its Glasgow head office.


This is a strong first move from practice role, offering exposure across financial reporting, group consolidation, and stakeholder engagement within a complex, multi-entity environment.


You’ll work closely with senior finance leadership and gain visibility across the wider business, ideal for someone looking to build a long-term industry career.



The role will interface with several senior stakeholders and include an operational element.


Our client offers strong career opportunities across their divisions. This has been demonstrated with the last 2 individuals we have placed in the business, who have taken steps up in a short period of time.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple entities
  • Support with group consolidations and intercompany reconciliations
  • Key involvement in the year-end audit process (acting as main contact for auditors)
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and review of controls/processes
  • Support cashflow reporting and financial analysis where required
  • Partner with operational teams to improve financial understanding and reporting
  • Drive process improvements across reporting and controls


Candidate Background: xwzovoh

  • ICAS / ACA newly qualified (Big 4 or Top 10 preferred)
  • Strong grounding in financial reporting and audit
  • Exposure to multi-entity or group structures advantageous
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
  • Keen to make a first move into industry and develop commercially


Package:

  • £50,000-£55,000
  • Hybrid working- 2/3 days per week in the city centre office
  • Up to 10% Bonus
