Job Title: Registered Manager

Salary: £38,000 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Registered Manager to lead a newly established care home in the heart of Kendal. This is a unique chance to take ownership of a fresh service, shape its culture from the ground up, and build a high-performing team committed to delivering outstanding care.

With a strong foundation already in place, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in embedding high standards, ensuring compliance, and creating a warm, supportive environment for residents and staff alike.
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the service to achieve and maintain high regulatory standards
Building, developing, and motivating a dedicated care team
Establishing a positive, values-led culture within the home
Overseeing care planning, risk management, and quality assurance processes
Managing staffing, rotas, recruitment, and performance
Ensuring full compliance with all regulatory and safeguarding requirements
Driving continuous improvement and preparing for inspections
Developing strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
About the Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Registered Manager with a proven track record of successfully managing care services and achieving positive inspection outcomes.
They will demonstrate:
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or equivalent)
Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a care setting
A strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance
The ability to lead from the front and establish credibility quickly
Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
A proactive, resilient approach with the ability to manage change effectively
A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care and improving lives
