Your Impact
\n
As UK Financial Controller, you’ll enable confident, data‑led decision‑making by delivering clear, timely and reliable financial insight that supports growth, efficiency and long‑term value. By leading a high‑performing reporting finance function and maintaining strong governance, you’ll help the business invest wisely, meet its regulatory obligations and build trust with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
\n
You’ll also shape how finance scales with the business—driving continuous improvement, automation and robust controls, while working closely with UK leaders and the US corporate team. Through developing an inclusive, high‑performing team, you’ll empower other functions to succeed and ensure the financial foundations are in place to support customers, innovation and sustainable growth.

What You'll Do\n
- \n
- \nOversee the full UK reporting finance function, including direct line management of a small team of accountants\n
- \nDeliver timely and accurate monthly financial reporting; evolve the financial reporting to meet the needs of the business\n
- \nResponsible for financial compliance and regulatory matters with particular focus on quarterly SOX reporting and internal controls\n
- \nOwnership of company and industry financial standards and policies collaborating with key stakeholders including US corporate team\n
- \nLead the annual statutory audit and the preparation of statutory financial statements to sign off\n
- \nLead continuous improvement and transformation projects on finance reporting, automation of internal controls and company wide initiatives\n
- \nLead and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals, motivating and inspiring them to reach and exceed all set targets and KPIs\n
- \nCoach team members in best practices, fostering a culture of continuous development\n
- \nEnsure all team members have clear, up-to-date Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and receive regular performance reviews and meaningful 1:1 conversations to support growth, engagement, and accountability\n
- \nMaintain a trusting, collaborative environment, enabling the team to thrive\n
- \nLead the recruitment efforts for your team, identifying and hiring top talent\n
- \nPromote an inclusive and diverse culture, in line with the Henry Schein One values\n

What You'll Bring With You\n
- \n
- \nQualified with at least 5 years’ post qualified experience\n
- \nCredible, confident and articulate, with excellent communication and presentation skills\n
- \nSolid experience in coaching, developing and motivating staff\n
- \nAbility to clearly communicate technically complex financial issues, combined with effective influencing skills at all levels\n
- \nAbility to multi-task and stay organised in a dynamic work environment, with excellent attention to detail\n
- \nBright, highly self-motivated, and driven to lead by example as an enthusiastic team player\n
- \nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills and an appetite to embrace AI tools\n
- \nStrong understanding of IFRS and UKGAAP , ideally SOX\n
- \nStrong controls ethic\n
- \nExperience working on Microsoft Dynamics is preferable\n
