Role – Mechanical Technician

Type – Permanent

Location – Southwest London

Salary – £33,000 - £37,500, dependent on experience

My client designs and manufactures engineering equipment. They are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join their team in Southwest London on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Technician will ideally have the following attributes:

• Experienced working in a factory or workshop environment
• Strong experience with Manual Milling, Turning, Welding and Fabrication
• Mechanical Assembly and Manufacturing skills
• Able to read and work to Engineering Drawings
• Knowledge of MIG / TIG Welding
• Experienced using centre-lathes, turret mills, pillar drills etc.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Team player

The Mechanical Technician role will involve :

• Mechanical assembly of a variety of products and equipment
• Working with Milling and Turning Machinery
• Working to project specifications and deadlines
• Participating in technical training
• Working to procedures and instructions
• Communicating with different departments to resolve technical issues
