This is a key interim opportunity for a technically strong Financial Controller to step into a fast-paced environment and provide leadership across core finance functions. You will play a central role in ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, and continuous improvement across processes, while managing a well-established team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a finance team of 8–10 across AP, AR and reporting/tax
• Own the month-end close process and ensure timely, accurate reporting
• Maintain full control of balance sheet, P&L and reconciliations
• Oversee transactional finance including accounts payable, receivable and treasury
• Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisers and group finance teams
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal controls
• Drive process improvements and optimise finance systems and workflows
• Support budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis across the business
• Partner with wider teams to provide financial insight and support decision making

Skills & Experience Required

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with a hands-on approach
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior role
• Experience managing finance teams, xwzovoh including transactional functions
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls and compliance
• Confident working with ERP systems and improving processes
• Ability to operate both strategically and in the detail
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience within manufacturing or FMCG environments
• Exposure to international or group reporting structures
• Background in driving process improvement or transformation
