The successful candidate will join a Legal 500-recognised team and work closely with a highly experienced Partner, gaining exposure to high-quality work and excellent mentoring.
The Role
You will manage a varied caseload of privately funded family matters, supporting clients through often complex and sensitive situations. This role offers a strong mix of autonomy and supervision, making it ideal for someone looking to build confidence and expertise in family law.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing your own caseload of family law matters from instruction through to conclusion
- Advising clients on a broad range of issues, including:
- Divorce and separation
- Financial remedy proceedings
- Private children matters (including Child Arrangements Orders)
- Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and court applications
- Conducting legal research and preparing case strategies
- Attending court hearings, client meetings, and negotiations (with support where required)
- Supporting senior team members on more complex or high-value cases
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, demonstrating empathy and professionalism
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and procedural requirements
- Managing deadlines effectively and maintaining accurate case records
- Contributing to business development activities where appropriate
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with 2–4 years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) in family law
- Experience handling a range of family matters, including divorce, xwzovoh financial remedy, and children work
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent drafting and communication skills
- A client-focused approach with sensitivity and emotional intelligence
- A genuine passion for family law and supporting clients through challenging circumstances
