Secondary Teacher (Supply) - Barnsley Partnership Schools Location: Barnsley Job Type: Day-to-day & Short-Term Supply Key Stages: KS3 & KS4 Start Date: Ongoing opportunities available About the Role We are seeking adaptable and enthusiastic Secondary Teachers to work across a network of partnership secondary schools in the Barnsley area. This is an excellent opportunity for teachers who enjoy variety and flexibility, delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Assignments will include day-to-day cover as well as short-term placements, providing vital support to schools while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects to KS3 and KS4 students Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Adapt quickly to different school settings and expectations Ensure continuity of learning during teacher absences Provide feedback to permanent staff on student progress and behaviour Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all timesRequirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching in UK secondary schools (KS3 & KS4) Strong classroom and behaviour management skills Flexibility and confidence teaching across multiple subjects Excellent communication and organisational skills A proactive and professional approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)What We Offer Flexible working to suit your availability Opportunities across a range of supportive partnership schools Competitive daily rates Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant Opportunities to gain experience in different school environmentsWho This Role Suits This role is ideal for experienced teachers, early career teachers (ECTs), or those returning to teaching who are looking for flexible work and varied classroom experience.
