About the Role

Take ownership of strategic sourcing across a complex and fast‑moving technology estate. This role sits at the heart of a modern digital organisation, partnering closely with Technology, Product, Finance and Legal teams to enable scale, innovation and value.


You’ll lead technology procurement strategy across a diverse portfolio including cloud, SaaS, infrastructure, cybersecurity, broadcast/streaming platforms and emerging technologies such as AI. This role is about commercial leadership, supplier partnerships and enabling business success.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Set and deliver category strategies across a broad technology portfolio, ensuring commercial alignment with business objectives
  • Lead complex sourcing and procurement activities, from market engagement and RFPs through to contract negotiation and award
  • Establish and maintain strong, value‑driven relationships with strategic technology suppliers
  • Use spend and performance data to identify optimisation opportunities and improve return on investment
  • Work in close partnership with Technology, Product, Finance and Legal teams to understand requirements and support delivery at pace
  • Improve procurement effectiveness through better tools, processes and governance
  • Monitor technology market developments and supplier innovation to inform sourcing decisions
  • Support the sourcing and adoption of emerging technologies, including AI solutions, in a responsible and commercially sound way


Experience:

  • Proven experience in technology procurement, sourcing xwzovoh or category management
  • Demonstrable success negotiating commercial agreements across technology suppliers
  • Comfortable working across categories such as cloud, SaaS, infrastructure or digital platforms
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate data into practical recommendations
  • Confident communicator with the credibility to influence stakeholders across multiple functions
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage concurrent initiatives effectively
  • A genuine interest in technology and how it enables business growth and innovation
