About the role

Your new company A leading British retailer is undertaking a major data platform migration from AWS Redshift to Snowflake within a buying and merchandising application. The role focuses on delivering scalable, event‑driven data ingestion pipelines on AWS (SNS, S3, etc.) and developing transformation models using dbt Core / dbt Projects. The ideal candidate will have good hands-on experience with AWS to snowflake data migrations and a background working within retail environments, either in-house or via consultancy engagements supporting retail clients. What you'll need to succeed Strong Data Engineering expertise with Snowflake data platform Experience of Data platform Snowflake migrations (from AWS to Snowflake preferred) Experience of Github / Workflows Delivered in commercially environments Experience of Open flow (Snowflake hosted would be beneficial) Experience of building Event driven ingestion pipelines on AWS , SNS , S3 etc. Experience of DBT - DBT Core / Dbt Project ( not cloud) Experience of Amazon Redshift - optional. Experience of data reconciliation. Client facing role - good communication skillset required.
