Microbiology Manager

Exciting time to join a company expanding its presence in Glasgow. This is a critical leadership role responsible for shaping the strategic direction, scientific integrity, and operational performance of the Microbiology function.

Role Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing strategic oversight and long‑term vision for the Microbiology function – line management of 6 analysts
• Leading and influencing cross‑functional initiatives that enhance laboratory capability, efficiency, and readiness for future growth
• Establishing high GMP/DP/SOP standards of accountability
• Holding overall accountability for GMP compliance within the Microbiology laboratory,
• Providing governance over departmental SOPs, protocols, investigations, deviations, CAPA, and reports
• Operational Excellence & Workload Management
• Business Partnership & Client Engagement
• Risk Management, Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement
