MaintenanceOperative(Handyman) Location:ClannyHouse,Sunderland Reportingto:AccommodationManager Hours:Full-time,MondaytoFriday(typically9:00am5:00pmwithoccasionalflexibilityrequired) AbouttheRole FlowStudent,partofMCRPropertyGroup,isseekingareliableandpracticalMaintenanceOperativetosupporttheday-to-dayupkeepofClannyHouse,Sunderland.Thisroleisprimarilyahands-onhandymanpositionresponsibleforgeneralrepairs,maintenancetasks,andsupportingthewideroperationalteaminensuringthebuildingremainssafe,well-maintainedandcomfortableforresidents.WorkingcloselywiththeAccommodationManagerandsiteteam,theMaintenanceOperativewillcarryoutroutinemaintenance,respondtoreactiverepairrequestsandassistwithplannedpreventativemaintenanceacrosstheproperty.

Respondpromptlytoreactivemaintenancerequestsfromresidentsandthesiteteam.

Undertakeminorrepairsincludingplumbing,electricalfixes,joineryanddecorating.

Assistwithpreventativemaintenanceandroutinepropertychecks.

Supportroomturnaroundsduringcheck-outandcheck-inperiods.

Maintaincommunalareasensuringtheyremainsafe,cleanandfullyoperational.

Conductbasicinspectionsofequipmentandbuildingsystems.

Assistexternalcontractorswhenrequiredandensureworksarecompletedsafely.

Logandupdatemaintenancerequeststhroughthepropertymanagementsystem.

Supportemergencyresponsesincludingfirealarmactivations,waterleaksorurgentbuildingissues.

Ensurecompliancewithhealthandsafetypoliciesandsafeworkingpractices.

SkillsandExperience Provenexperienceinahandyman,maintenanceorfacilitiesrole.

Practicalknowledgeofbasicelectrical,plumbingorbuildingrepairs.

Abilitytotroubleshootandresolvemaintenanceissuesefficiently.
