- £34,500 per annum depending on experience Our client, an established defence manufacturing firm in Ampthill, Bedfordshire, require an experienced Electrical Assembly Technician to join their multi-disciplined team.

Candidates would need to have lived & worked in the UK for 5 years and be eligible for BPSS and SC security clearance.

What the role of the Electrical Assembly Technician entails: We require a competent technician, capable of cable and harness manufacturing working from drawings and engineering instruction.

Competent and safe use of all hand tools.

Use of Jigs, fixtures and measuring tools.

Problem solver with a positive attitude.

Working with support from engineering group a methodical and precise approach to ensure successful completion of production tasks on high value hardware.

What experience you need to be the successful Electrical Assembly Technician: Cable and Harness manufacturing to specifications using Work instructions and Engineering drawings working in a medium volume production environment Understanding of ESD controls.

Experience in the use of crimp tools and ability to hand solder to high accuracy.

Competent with using IT/Software packages.

Cleanliness and housekeeping (5S) methodology.

A high level of health and safety awareness.

Certified IPC 620 or experience working with or understanding of IPC/J-Standards.
